Virginia Beach Sensors LLC is a Nanotech Metrology company that develops and delivers new piezoelectric thin film thickness sensors, to the optical and electronic materials processing industries, with an emphasis on high temperature (100 to 900 °C) applications. The Company's products use enabling technologies and materials to bring the next generation of film thickness sensors to the MBE (molecular beam epitaxy), ALD (atomic layer deposition), OLED (organic LED) and CVD (chemical vapor deposition) processing markets.
Piezocryst and Virginia Beach Sensors LLC entered into a broad collaboration on thin film monitoring equipment. The collaboration combines the material and high temperature know-how of Piezocryst with Virginia Beach Sensors' application strengths, developing superior solutions as e.g. a new set of high temperature resistive microbalances and high temperature resonators for the surface coating community.
