Many Piezocryst sensors are used in very extensive tests (racing engines, turbines) or in expensive large machines (large engines, rolling mills, production lines). To ensure life expectancy as much as possible before the actual use of the sensors, Piezocryst implements tests to accelerate the aging of the sensors.

They are, for example, subjected to several million load-cycles at typical operating temperatures and moderate overload and then comprehensively measured and characterized (including distructive testing). These accelerated life tests are done in the early stages of the development process to ensure maximum operational reliability to our customers.
